# Privacy Policy, TabFox for Salesforce

_Last updated: 2026-08-10_

**Short version: this extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It stores a
small amount of data (org colors and labels you set) locally in your own browser only.**

## What the extension does

TabFox for Salesforce runs only on Salesforce domains (`*.salesforce.com`, `*.force.com`,
`*.salesforce-setup.com`, `*.cloudforce.com`, `*.visualforce.com`) and:

- Reads the hostname of the current tab to identify which Salesforce org/sandbox it is.
- Draws a colored favicon and (optionally) prefixes the tab title, so different orgs are
  visually distinguishable.
- Stores your per-org color and label choices using Chrome's built-in `storage.local` API.

## What it does NOT do

- Does not read, store, or transmit Salesforce record data, usernames, passwords, session
tokens, or any content from the pages you visit.
- Does not make network requests to any server. There is no backend.
- Does not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
- Does not sell or share data with third parties. There is no data to share; nothing ever
  leaves your browser.

## Data storage

All settings (org colors, labels, and license status) are stored locally via
`chrome.storage.local` and never synced to a remote server by this extension. Uninstalling
the extension removes this data.

## Paid features

If you purchase the paid tier, payment is handled entirely by our payment processor
(ExtensionPay, running on Stripe). This extension never sees or stores your payment details.

## Changes

Any future change to this policy will be reflected here with an updated date, and, if the
change is material (e.g. adding any data collection), communicated in the extension's update
notes.
